H2O is the hero of the hour. Learn about the facts of H2O and some ways to make it taste even tasting!

UGH... DO I REALLY NEED TO DRINK WATER?

IT'S OFFICIALLY SUMMER!.

Yes it came that fast...those days of being couped up in the house, longing for those warmer days are over. But, now that it's here, the temperatures are rising well into the 100's and you are not quite sure if this is really what you envisioned summer would be like.

Maybe you pictured yourself looking summer sultry with your peeps, but in reality you feel like hell has risen to the surface and there's no way you're going outside.

No worries...today is your lucky day, here at DRAEKK we can help you combat the heat! If you are still brave enough to venture outside, maybe take a hike (10 miles there + 10 miles back) to Havasu Falls - pictured. After a long grueling, yet awe inspiring hike, dive into the refreshing turquoise waters at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Or if you are a bit more tame and would like to leave the summer hiking to the crazy ones, maybe your cool paradise is a bit closer to home. You may be one of the lucky few to have a pool, live near the beach, or even own a sprinkler. Either way there are many, many ways to beat the heat...but, by far the most important is staying hydrated.

It would seem by conventional wisdom that water, H2O is vital to your health and well-being.

We are told the rule of 8 - 8 glasses of 8 ounces of water is necessary every day.


UGH . . . BUT I HATE WATER, DO I REALLY NEED TO DRINK IT?

Okay, so yes, a large, large amount of people say they hate water or that they don't like the taste of it! Some people will drink a coke or tea and think that well, its liquid right, it's has to hydrate me...

FALSE oh so false.

5 Drinks That Dehydrate You

  • Alcohol
  • caffeinated Tea
  • Coffee
  • Soda
  • Milk

Dehydration and sunstroke can cause life-long health issues. According to the National Institute of Health, signs of mild to moderate dehydration are:

  • Thirst
  • Dry or sticky mouth
  • Not urinating much
  • Darker yellow urine
  • Dry, cool skin
  • Headache
  • Muscle cramps

Signs of severe dehydration are:

  • Not urinating, or very dark yellow or amber-colored urine
  • Dry, shriveled skin
  • Irritability or confusion
  • Dizziness or light-headedness
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Rapid breathing
  • Sunken eyes
  • Shock (not enough blood flow through the body)

Are you sick and tired of the BIKINI READY Fitness Series? Where you have to already be a size 0 to even perform the workouts. The fundamental difference between the 24 Minute Fit exercise program and other programs is functionality and the option to choose your fitness level. This level emphasis the functionality of the body, if you sit for a living, have a hectic family life, and have little time to workout, we encourage you to try this level first.

If you have pain in your knees, back, neck, or literally anywhere, we help you engage and build a strong foundation. You should be able live your adult life with the resilience and agility of your childhood body.
With the Revive Level you can build up from one set of exercises (approximately 6-7 minutes up to the full 24 minutes. Life is about progress, and our 24 Minute Fit program encourages you to continue pushing past your perceived limitations. When an exercise becomes easy, move on to the next level of that specific workout!

LEVEL 2 / TONE IT

LEVEL 2 / TONE IT As the name signifies, this level will sculpt and reshape your body quickly! Here is a fun level that builds upon your foundation of epic functionality gained from the Revive level.

IT'S ALIVE!!!

To blog or not to blog....what a stupid question!

AND A BLOG WAS BORN!

Why a blog you may ask? Well to tell the truth, I never thought I’d be writing a blog, let alone using one as a platform to launch a business, but here I am, and here it goes…

Take a second and close your eyes (after you read this paragraph of course), think back to your childhood, to when you truly believed in yourself. What life did you envision? Were you going to be a doctor, race car driver, vet, musician, cowboy, athlete, architect…who were you going to be?

Now that you’ve had that fun, yet probably depressing trip down memory lane, answer this question:

Are you doing any of those things, are you living your childhood dream?

Unless you’re one of the fortunate few, your answer is most likely NO.

We live in a society that builds up its youth, we’re told at a young age that we can do anything, be anything, if we only believe. You go through school feeling invincible, like you'll take over the world once you graduate. But come graduation day, society tells you it’s time to be realistic (a word I hate) and get a

. . . JOB.

Time passes and that job you got right out of school, that, it’s just temporary job, turned into your forever job. You stopped dreaming about your childhood aspirations and just started surviving. You started living for the weekend, and planning for retirement, because that’s when you would have time, time to do what you really wanted.

What happened, where did those goals and aspirations go? Well, frankly, you got comfortable. The money was okay, the job was easy enough, even if a little boring.

So there you have it, that’s the problem with society. Society tells you to be realistic (there’s that word again), society tells you that you’re not special, that only the GREATS can follow their dreams.

OKAY TIME OUT …wow that was depressing.

I’ll use this to segue into my true purpose for writing this … my company’s introduction.

First I will introduce myself, my name is Danielle Theodore, I’m a Systems Engineer, business owner, personal trainer, soccer player, friend, sister, daughter, girlfriend, and avid outdoorsperson … to name a few.

You may be thinking, gosh she sure is full of herself, but I guarantee if you think of all the roles you play in your own life, your list is probably longer than mine.
